Episode 128: Queer in its bones featuring Hamish Steele with Ayoola Solarin

Last updated on October 10, 2024

We talk to Hamish Steele, creator of Dead End: Paranormal Park, about his new Netflix series, what it was like to transition from the page to the screen with their original story, why fatphobia sneaks its way into animation, and why trans and queer representation thrives when it’s both overt and subtextual. Not only does the lovely Ayoola Solarin join to interview Hamish, but Ayoola sticks around to give us a super special peek behind the scenes of Dead End: Paranormal Park which Ayoola worked on as a Production Coordinator and behind-the-scenes writer!

Watch the trailer for Dead End: Paranormal Park here and watch the whole series on Netflix starting June 16th!
